Fire spokesman Joshua Johnson says the workers' metal scaffolding slipped at about 8:30 a.m. Friday. The two workers were wearing safety harnesses and did not fall. Fire rescue crews went to the top of the mirrored building and quickly rescued one man.
The other man remained about 15 feet from the roof of the building, holding onto the platform for about 45 minutes until a firefighter rappelled down and had the worker hauled to the roof.
Johnson says the men remained calm and there was no wind to complicate the rescue.
Neither worker was seriously injured.
