WILMINGTON, Del. - Wilmington fire officials say a blaze in a vacant house has displaced a family in an adjoining home.

The fire was reported Thursday about 10 a.m. in a three-story row home on North Broom Street. Firefighters arrived to find heavy fire showing from the second and third floors and extending to an adjacent home.

About 50 firefighters and emergency personnel responding. The fire was under control in about 45 minutes. There were no injuries.

The Red Cross is assisting the displaced family.
