SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah - Fire investigators in South Salt Lake are looking for the exact cause of an apartment blaze that left one woman hospitalized in critical condition and two other people less seriously hurt.

Firefighters rescued the woman after she was found on the floor of her living room when flames broke out about 2 p.m. Monday at the complex near 3900 South and 800 West. She was flown to a burn center at Intermountain Burn Center in Murray.

Another woman was treated at the scene for injuries after jumping from a bedroom window to safety, and a third person was treated for an ankle injury.

Four apartments were damaged. Fire investigators say they found fireworks remnants, matches and a candle, but are continuing to investigate the exact cause of the fire.
