USFA: Virginia Line of Duty Death
U.S. Fire Administration
The U.S. Fire Administration has announced the official line of duty death of Assistant Fire Chief Bobby Joe Mullins, 52, of the Dante Volunteer Fire Department on December 20, 2009.
While working a vehicle fire, Assistant Chief Mullins became ill. He was treated and transported to the emergency room. Mullins was then transferred to a trauma center but passed away soon after arriving of sudden cardiac arrest.
