U.S. Fire Administration

The U.S. Fire Administration has announced the official line of duty death of Battalion Chief Steven F. Auch, 56, of the Indianapolis Fire Department on February 1, 2011.

Within several hours of finishing a duty shift at the department that included response to emergency incidents, Battalion Chief Auch passed away at home from a cause still to be determined.
