The US Fire Administration has announced the official line of duty death of Assistant Fire Chief Thomas Innes, 61, of the Hindsboro Community Fire Protection District on October 3, 2010.
Assistant Fire Chief Innes responded to a medical call in the town of Hindsboro. After the call was completed and the patient was transported, Innes went back to the station, readied the equipment, and then returned home. Shortly after returning home, Chief Innes became ill and was taken to a hospital where he passed away from a cause still to be reported.
