U.S. Marshals, Suspect Burned Serving Warrant In Washington, D.C.

WASHINGTON - Two U.S. Marshal deputies and another person were burned in an early morning house fire in Northwest DC.


Officials tell 9NEWS NOW the fire broke out shortly after 8:00 Monday morning in the basement of a 4-story rowhouse in the 1200 block of N Street in Northwest DC.

Deputy Marshal Cole Barnhart said Monday that a female officer was burned when the male suspect set himself ablaze. Barnhart says a male officer was burned while trying to extinguish the flames by throwing his jacket over them.

The DC fire department says all three have serious injuries.
