LAS VEGAS - A fire official says a blaze that damaged an upholstery shop at a commercial building in downtown Las Vegas may have started outside and spread inside.
No injuries were reported after the 2:30 p.m. Wednesday fire a building on Main Street south of Charleston Boulevard.
The fire sent smoke over an area where an NV Energy electrical substation exploded early Saturday and an Opportunity Village thrift store burned Sunday while utility crews were checking nearby for underground gas line leaks.
Those fires are still under investigation.
Fire spokesman Tim Szymanski (zim-ANN'-skee) said Wednesday's fire was several blocks away, and it's too early to say exactly what caused it.
