RIVERDALE, Ga. - Firefighters have found the bodies of a man and a woman after extinguishing an apartment blaze in Riverdale.



Police have not released the victims' identities. The man's body was found around 6 a.m. Monday, and the woman's body was discovered around 1 p.m.

The blaze damaged eight units at the Chateau Forest apartments early Monday morning. Several families fled as flames went through the roof. Authorities discovered the bodies hours later as they shifted through the rubble.

Investigators said they have not determined what caused the fire.
