LAUREL, Md. - Howard County police and fire investigators are probing a morning blaze that injured two people at a Laurel apartment complex.
Fighters were called to the building in the 9100 block of Blues Alley about 5:30 a.m. It took firefighters about 45 minutes to get the three-alarm blaze under control.
Four apartments were damaged by the fire, displacing 20 people. The Red Cross is helping them. Two adult residents suffered non-life threatening injuries and were taken to hospitals.
According to a news release, a joint police and fire investigation team is working to identify the cause of the fire, as is "standard procedure in serious fire incidents in Howard County."
