ESOPUS, N.Y. -- Fire crews are battling a blaze at a Hudson Valley building that caught fire when a fuel truck and dump truck burst into flames after colliding.

The Times Herald-Record of Middletown reports the crash occurred around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday on Route 9W in the Ulster County town of Esopus (ee-SOH'-puhs), just south of Kingston.

The newspaper reports that a fuel truck and a dump truck hauling a trailer with heavy equipment collided, igniting a fire that gutted a nearby business.

Fire departments from a three-county area responded to the scene.

There was an unconfirmed report of one person suffering injuries.

A call to the Ulster County Sheriff's Department was not immediately returned. The phone number for the Esopus Fire Department was busy.
