Training Seminar With Former FDNY Battalion Chief John J. Salka In Middlebury Ct March 3, 2012.

Middlebury, CT February 10, 2012 - Middlebury Volunteer Fire Department is sponsoring a training seminar with former FDNY Battalion Chief John J. Salka, Jr. on Saturday March 3rd at Middlebury Fire Headquarters in Middlebury, CT.

John Salka was a battalion chief with FDNY and has over 31 years experience in the fire service. He is a contributing editor for Firehouse magazine and has also written for Fire Engineering, WNYF, Size-Up, and the Wharton Leadership Digest. His book, “First In Last Out, Leadership Lessons From The New York Fire Department” was published in 2004 and is the basis for his new “Leadership” lecture series.

His seminar will be held at the Middlebury Fire Headquarters, 65 Tucker Hill Rd. Middlebury, Connecticut on March 3rd, and will cover the topics “Fire Ground Responsibility” and “Five Alarm Leadership.”  This is a fund raising event for the Middlebury Volunteer Fire Department.

This is an exceptional opportunity for fire officers and firefighters throughout the region to take advantage of Chief Salka’s extensive experience and expertise.
