training ideas?????
i am a new firefighter and new to the website and i see a lot of experience on the forums. i work as a PCF for a busy small town dept. and im in the last week of my first season with CalFire. just wanted any advice for my career and/or good training suggestions. If i have learned anything in the very little time i have been in the fire service it is that, with where im at, i have 2 ears, 2 eyes, and NO mouth! thank you and be safe in order to "prevent the next 100"

Hey Zachary. Welcome to FFN. You are right about a lot of experience roaming around this site. You can still use your mouth to ask questions..don't shut it completely. Sometimes the eyes and ears do their job, but still don't understand. What kind of training are you looking for? Doesn't the dept do training? Are you looking to do training on your own? Physical training?....fire related training? If you are new to firefighting,

thanx for the advice derek. ya I wasnt very clear was I? sorry about that, my dept. does training every tuesday and is very good at it but calfire is hit or miss and very hard to ask questions without feeling like a dumbass. no offense to calfire at all. i was just looking for someone to tell me about this great fire related training they did and something they learned so i can try and apply. thanx again be safe
