Training for Hot Shots

Let me introduce myself. My name is JD and I am a recent graduate of Yuba College Firefighter 1 Academy. I am a resident of Northridge, Ca (Los Angeles area) and my short term goal is to be a Wild Land Firefighter (long term goal is LAFD but I understand with the current budget that might be a very long term goal). I have been training hard and have been a life long athlete but want to take my training to the next level.

I am inquiring about information or opportunities to train with a group of individuals who have the same commitment and drive to better themselves as I do. The guys/girls I went to the academy with are all to far away and I am having a heck of a time finding people who are willing to put in the work that I understand it will take to succeed in the career I wish to pursue. I am a self motivator but the opportunity to work with people who have either been through the journey themselves or are on the same path would help put me to that next step that I need to reach.

Any advice or leads would be greatly appreciated.
