Hello, my name is Tyler and im 16 and i am in a Explorer Post for almost 2 years. I have not been able to do anything becuase i had a medical problem, but that is now all resolved. I was looking for some advice on specific workouts for the fire service. I have not been able to workout for awhile and i am going to need to eeze into it, but i need to start gaining muscle and endurance as fast as possible. I would love to hear back from others and hear what they have to say, thank you.

I think has been covered in here before. Start with cardio...stairs stairs stairs...then your core, abs AND back. The best way to start gaing muscle after that is sit-ups, push-ups, pull-ups, then go to a moderate weight lifting program. Learn the technique of lifting, then the specific techniques needed for the job!

Good luck to you.
Okay thank you!
Your welcome...as you go you can find more info in here or on other websites. Do a google search of firefighters workouts and you will find a bunch of helpful stuff
thanks, i also have an olyptical at my house do you recommend those or no? And for cardio sutff like running how long do you recommend for running?
Don't rush yourself, or you will just ge hurt. I would start on the elliptical for 15 minutes on no resistance, and then work yoour way up, if you overstress your body by over-using, then you won't gain anything, I would suggest every other day and then ease into everyday. Hope this helps. TCSS
What everyone has already said above, start slow and then work your way up.
