Tornadoes in the South.
Good afternoon Brothers and Sisters. We have had an eventful 48 hours in Bossier parish. Numerous tornadoes and flash flooding. I can report that we had no firefighter injuries and only one minor injury to an 82 year old female that was trapped in her home under beams after a huge pine tree split her home in half. I do have one report on a piece of equipment that I see as invaluable. I purchased a FoxFury helmet light two days ago. It was a Pro Series firefighter model and it worked better than expected. After 5 water rescues, numerous powerlines down in the pouring rain, extracations in the pouring rain, it worked flawlessly. It gave off plenty of light and never dimmed. Everyone will be purchasing one very quickly. I highly reccommend everyone taking a look at them.

Just saw that on the news. They didn't show any pictures of the disasters and actually we are getting the same system here in Indiana, just not as bad. Mainly rain and wind. But it is good to hear that there were no deaths and only 1 minor injury. As for the light, where did you purchase it from?

www.foxfury.com. They have several different applications and different styles. The Pro Series is waterproof and made for firefighting. If you get one, get the one with the screw on canister for the batteries. It has two gaskets. If you want to see some of the videos of the aftermath, go to ksla.com. That is one of our local TV stations. If you see a fat, tired fireman walking back by himself to the Mobile Command, that was me. My Captain and I were the ones to pull the old lady out of her house after that huge pine tree fell on it.
