Google "firefighting tools and equipment." View websites like Darley, Chief Supply and Fire Etc. Ask your training officer.
Chris...I have seen 3 requests by you for internet references to tools and handbooks and training, can I offer advice? Dont rely on the computer for your training and references. Go to your station, do they have a library of training books/videos? Most do, ask the chief they may have it in the chiefs office by special request only.
If not, go to the fire academy, or even better, the library. Get books and read them. Talk to the firefighters at your station and learn all you can from experienced people with both book and street smarts.
Not everything you find on the internet is accurate or certified, so be carefull what you learn from.
Best of luck to you in your quest for knowledge, its refreshing to see younger members who want to learn all they can, so keep at it and never stop.
More over, stop trying to get your "education" for free. Somethings in this business you are simply going to have to pay for!
