PARKVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Authorities say two civilians and one firefighter suffered minor injuries during a four-alarm fire at a Parkville area apartment complex.

Baltimore Fire County Department spokesman John Cromwell says the fire spread through two adjacent three-story apartment buildings. Two other buildings were evacuated as a precaution, but those residents are being allowed to return.

Cromwell says the fire was reported shortly after 1 a.m. on Spindrift Circle. Firefighters were still looking for hot spots more than four hours later.

Cromwell says the two injured civilians were taken to area hospitals. He says the firefighter was hurt in a fall on some ice and was taken to an area hospital.

Residents of the damaged buildings are being housed in vacant apartments and in area hotels.
