PALMETTO, Ga. - Firefighters are battling a south Fulton County house fire that has killed at least one person.


Fulton County fire dispatchers tell the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the fire started Tuesday morning inside a two-story house in downtown Palmetto.

Firefighters from Chattahoochee Hills and Coweta and Fulton counties were called to assist the Palmetto Fire Department.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office tells Journal-Constitution at least one person had died.
