He grew up on a farm like all Good Men should

He Joined the Army after highschool like we all knew he would

After Two years at War he was coming home to the Bluegrass state

And there out that bus window he saw what was to be his fate

On the side of the road was a lone grey car.. And a Trooper holding a little girl away from deaths arms

Five years later Hes driving a grey car of his own.. a shiny badge sitting on his chest like a king sits upon a throne..

Bringing law to the lawless one case at a time Hes part of the Brotherhood Hes the thin grey line..

We never thought We would see that fateful day in the fall..

When one rainy night on a Kentucky road He took his last call..

With every note played on the Bagpipe and every beat of the drum

with every one of those 21 Shots Signified His tour of duty was done..

He shall never be forgotten for making this world safer a day at a time..

Hes Amongst his Brothers now.. a Man ... Of the Thin Grey Line..

Dedicated to The Bluegrass Finest The Kentucky State Police
