To all my friends on FFN. I have recently lost a friend of mine from High School who was killed in a car accident Sunday Night. The details are below... I want everyone to pray for the San Juan family in their time of sadness and sarrow. She will be greatly missed by the Crowley County High School and her family. The 3 year olds mother and father where on tour in Iraq at the time and are now at his bedside at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs Colorado.

Please Pray...

Thank You So Much

Parents of a 3-year-old boy seriously injured Sunday in a one-vehicle accident arrived at his bedside Tuesday from military duty in Iraq.

The boy's aunt died from injuries she received in the accident and his grandmother is hospitalized.

The boy, Ismael San Juan, 3, is being treated in the pediatric intensive care unit at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs, according to his father, Isaac San Juan.

His father said doctors told him his son's condition was improving. The boy is heavily sedated.

Both parents are in the military and were serving tours of duty in Iraq when they were notified of the accident through the American Red Cross. San Juan, a military policeman and his wife, Mika, a dental hygienist, caught the first available flight home. Ismael was injured Sunday in a one-vehicle accident on Colorado 96 near Boone. His aunt, Donna San Juan, 16, died Sunday night at St. Mary-Corwin Medical Center in Pueblo from her injuries. The teenager reportedly was driving the 2000 Oldsmobile Silhouette when it went off the road, struck a guard rail and bridge abutment, before coming to rest in an irrigation ditch.

In addition to Ismael, two other passengers were taken to hospitals. An unidentified 16-year-old friend of the family was treated and released. The second passenger was identified as Donna San Juan, mother of the deceased driver and grandmother of Ismael. She was listed Tuesday in good condition at St. Mary-Corwin with unknown injuries.

Friends of the family established a memorial fund at the Wells Fargo Bank to help the family with funeral and other expenses related to the accident. Donations can be made at any Wells Fargo location to the Donna San Juan Memorial Fund.
