I'll keep this short.
I've been doing some reflecting on where I am in terms of knowledge, and how this educational material came to be. I have learned a lot from my dept., and at the same time, I have learned a lot from FFN. Yes, even through the BS posts and silliness, there was a lot to be learned if so inclined to venture in. Even the dreaded repeat posts have played their part in keeping some things in memory.
I could go on, but I said I will keep this short. I want to say thank you to all who have taught me a new technique, a new way to train, new terminology, tactics, history, equipment. and general information. And, yes, even the "color of your trucks" gave me something either directly or indirectly. I didn't know WHY, back in the day, that they chose red as the primary color. To be honest, I have never used google so much as I have when in FFN. And with that, I feel I am much more knowledgable than I might have been if I didn't care about what I am doing so much.
As I have said, Combining my dept. knowledge and the intelligence of most FFN members, I have become a better, safer firefighter. And to that I say.....
Thank You.. and I look foreward to learn more, and hopefully give some back.
