NASHVILLE, Tenn. - An early morning fire on Nashville's southeast side destroyed or damaged a dozen apartments.

WTVF-TV reported the blaze broke out early Wednesday at Chimney Tops apartments and firefighters rescued one woman from a second-story window.

There were no known injuries from the fire, although an asthma patient was reported taken to a hospital because of the smoke.

An investigation has begun into the cause.
