KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Fire officials in Knoxville say a firefighter has been injured as a crew extinguished a burning boat.

The Knoxville News Sentinel quotes Knoxville Fire Department spokesman Capt. D.J. Corcoran, who says the blaze was reported Monday morning when the boat caught fire in the driveway of a home.

The newspaper says reports from the scene indicate the firefighter was struck in the head by a fire hose. His name wasn't immediately released.

The injured firefighter was taken by ambulance to the University of Tennessee Medical Center.
