My department is in the process of scheduling firefighters to attend teh FF111, Firefighter 1 live burn course at TFACA.  As I understand it this course is a pass or fail course where you either pass all the sections or you fail the whole thing.  I have no problem with that concept, but I'm trying to ensure before I show up that I have adequately prepared.  I've already been through the state mandated 16 and 64 hour courses as well as performing external fireground operations at actual scenes.  I've tried to look up some details on what's included and found a list of the evolutions which are

Internal Firefighting operatons, passenger vehicle firefighting, exterior class a fires, portable fire extinguisher suppression and ground cover fires. 

Other than the interior operations I've been involved in each of these.  I have worn SCBA during search and rescue training as well as working through the SCBA obstacle course at my department and have had no problem with that.

My ultimate goal is to obtain FF 1 Certification and eventually firefighter II, these are not required by my department but I figure in the process of obtaining these certs I can be more assured that I possess the requisite knowledge necessary to safely confront a life threatening situation and give myself, the other firefighters and any trapped vicitims the best chance for survival.

I was hoping that someone who's been through the FF111 course at TFACA might be able to give me a better idea of what to expect.  Is this a class where they show you what's expected and then test you on it or are you expected to show up knowing all of the material and the entire 16 hours is a test?

I've learned the theory at this point and for everything but the interior I've got practical experience, I just want to make sure I'm 100% prepared for what I'm going to have to do there.
