Arrest warrants show 32-year-old Michael Thomas Polston Jr. was arrested Friday and charged with filing a false police report.

Polston is a firefighter in Taylors. He told deputies a man with a knife got in his car on Tuesday and ordered him to withdraw money from a bank.

Polston identified a man as his abductor from a photo lineup, but that man was never charged.

It was not immediately clear if Polston had an attorney. Local media reported he was held Friday on $5,000 bond, but he was not listed in jail records on Saturday.

There was no phone number listed for Polston.

I live near by, and when I heard this on the news, I could not understand why he would have done such a thing,
or what his motive was. I feel sorry for him, but I feel more sorry for the department he worked for, they are the one's that will to deal with all the Bull S**t that came out of this. Just goes to show you that crime don't pay.
What was he thinking????
