NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. - Officials evacuated students after a small fire broke out in a Rutgers University dormitory.

Middlesex County Fire Marshal Mike Gallagher says the fire was reported in the 12-story Rockoff Hall in New Brunswick around 10 p.m. Thursday.

Gallagher says it took firefighters about 15 minutes to gain control of the blaze.

It doesn't appear any students were injured.

The cause is under investigation.
