BEAR, Del. - Six people were treated at a hospital after they fled a fire in their home in Bear.

The fire was reported about 1 a.m. Saturday in the Sparrow Run community. Smoke detectors alerted the two adults and four children and they escaped.

Five of the six were treated and released.

The fire caused about $100,000 in damage. The cause is under investigation.
