NEW CITY, N.Y. - Authorities say six people, including one in a wheelchair, were injured escaping a house fire in a New York City suburb.

The Zukor Road house in New City was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived at 4 a.m. Monday.

Some of the residents climbed through a broken window to escape the flames.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.

Authorities say the injuries were not life threatening.
