WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah - Authorities say six people were hurt escaping a fast-moving fire in a West Valley City fourplex.
Fire officials say five people were treated for smoke inhalation and one was treated for serious cuts received when he broke a window to escape the 3 a.m. Wednesday fire in the building near 4100 South and 4800 West. He's said to be in good condition.
KSL-TV reports that a woman jumped out an upstairs window, followed by her boyfriend with a baby in his arms.
The Salt Lake Tribune reports the blaze caused an estimated $150,000 in damage, and the cause is under investigation.
The Utah Chapter of the American Red Cross was helping 10 adults and two children with food, clothing and shelter.
