siphon design of a fire extinguisher

As a fire extinguisher designer, I just wonder that the distance between the end of the tube and the bottle. I don't know how long the distance will be fine. 2mm? It seems there's no rule and research about it.

I doubt you'll find a rule on that....NFPA 10 and ANSI/UL standards should be useful to you though in general.

Thank you very much. I've checked the NFPA 10, but got nothing about this...Maybe I should turn to ANSI/UL standards for some help...
