I commend FireRescue for addressing the important topic of simulations in the Fire Service--simulation-based training save lives.
Unfortunately, the articles didn't include any specific resources out there and other simulation platforms besides the editorial's sponsor. As a vendor, I can say we all have valuable success stories and studies which add important factors to the discussion of what works and what does not. Also, each platform has pro's and con's -- that would have made a nice addition to the 'roundtable' discussion.
As I have put it out there before, here is my list of platforms/resources (disclaimer: including my own, CommandSim) which I encourage people to investigate as they look to integrate this important tool into their training programs:
Thanks for taking the time to review our recent simulations supplement and many more thanks for posting the links to the various simulation programs that exist throughout the fire service. As you know, no single supplement or series of articles could ever be all encompassing of the topic of fire ground simulations. That said, I hope your post and the links provided will create a much needed discussion concerning the importance of fire ground simulation training for current and future command officers.
Thanks again,

Thank you for responding. As you point out, this is such an important topic, and I appreciate you addressing my concern!
I think you've done a great service for the Fire Service in bringing these ideas to the fore, and I would like to participate in the future as the need arises.
