DOVER, N.H. - New Hampshire firefighters say four people suffered smoke inhalation injuries in a three-alarm fire at a Dover apartment complex.

The Wednesday afternoon fire at the 72-unit Cocheco Park Apartments forced residents, many elderly, outside into the cold.

Dover Fire Chief Perry Plummer says firefighters were able to isolate the fire quickly, but they were worried about so many people in the building.

Plummer tells Foster's Daily Democrat four people were taken to the local hospital. All were treated and released.

Some residents were allowed to return to their apartments later Wednesday.

There's no word on the cause of the fire.
