Two firefighters from Kallista-The Patch brigade have survived a tanker rollover less than a few weeks after watching a CFA video about the importance of wearing seatbelts. Both firefighters escaped without serious injury.

Kallista-The Patch Captain Ralph Ross said the men “might not have been here today if they had not been wearing seatbelts." Monbulk Lieutenant and Incident Controller Craig Poole agreed, saying “things could have turned out much worse."

This could have been very nasty. We were working at our Station and heard the radio traffic about an MVA involving a fire truck. Not something any of us like to hear...
This proves that they do work (seatbelts)
I know as a young guy on the department I sure wear them but I still see older guys not wearing them and in turn see the younger guys and gals not wearing them becouse there officers don't. Disapointing..
