POLICE have called on the community to name and shame a group who turned off water mains as firies battled a blaze at a home in the state's east.
Firefighters' lives were threatened after the group, believed to be teens, turned off the water mains while officers were inside a burning Shepparton home.
An investigation has been launched with police appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
Fire crews were called to the Corio St blaze about 4.30am on Saturday after a fire broke out at the property.
