EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. - A four-alarm fire at a massive East Providence warehouse was quickly brought under control by the building's sprinkler system and without any injuries.
Fire officials say the fire at the Noyes Avenue building was reported at about 7 p.m. on Tuesday and was under control a little over an hour later.
Four alarms were struck because the building is about a half-million square feet and houses several businesses that have material handling equipment, including forklifts.
Firefighters from East Providence, Providence, Seekonk, Barrington and Pawtucket responded.
