Well Good post Brian.

Its full of all types of tantalyzing stuff...

I guess the biggest question we have to go back to is.."Should the most qualified person for the job get the job?"

I say yes.

I also say that race and gender should NEVER be a "qualifier". I love the idea of blind testing, and I almost always love the way the results come out.

Then we get to find out abouty the "secret society" that is somehow working within any given fire department to keep all those out that do not match the secret societies needs.

Oh well onward.

Racism is racism. No matter who commits it or who it is commited against.
I.M WITH YOU JAKE ON THIS ONE, LET THE TEST BEGIN, HIGH SCORE WINS
"They all passed a promotion exam, but the city threw out the test because no blacks would have been promoted"
And no women would have been promoted and no Asians would have been promoted and no Hispanics would have been promoted
AND OH GOOD GRIEF WHERE DOES IT EVER END!

Best one for the job, period. I'm tired of racisim, sexism, reverse racisim, reverse sexism - I just can't believe we can't get past it all. Simple concept: Be worthy or expect to be passed over.
Best person for the job. No if ands or buts. Rather what color, race, sex, or religion.
I just want to say there is no such thing as reverse descrimination there is simpliy descrimination. Weather it is white to black or black to with it is the same thing there is no reverse and just saying that makes a person sound ignorant.
VERY true. Discrimination is just that DISCRIMINATION!
I'm glad we now have that cleared, WOW
