I am curious to know what fire fighters do that have had/are suffering from respiratory illnesses. I support The New York Rescue Workers Detoxification Project (www.nydetox.org) with my book. It is one of two organizations I support. The other is ICISM.org. But New York Detox is still working to help those who worked Ground Zero recover from the breathing problems. I heard about it from a now FDNY Retired member, forced to retire very young due to breathing problems. He went through New York Detox and is now much recovered. But for other agencies, outside of New York, and for those in New York that choose another method of recovery, what do you do? How do you recover from the crap I know you all breath in? What is the success rate of the recoveries? Are there other detox type programs?
