My thought is you could have saved money by just getting 1" webbing and cutting it down in 25 foot sections for each member.

With the Drag Rescue Devices incorporated in todays coats why do we need this type of device? I have seen another one too but it is 4 loops of webbing connected to make a chain, 2 loops around the legs, 2 around the arms with the two ends meeting behind the victims head to use as a handle to drag them out.

I agree with John, just get some extra webbing and keep it in your gear or in a RIT pack and use that instead of spending the money. But let us know how they work out for your department and if you like them or not.

i sure will..... my plan is to practice with the four that we bought get used to them and then purchase one for each of our scba (if they work out for us) and attach it to them some how.

I also agree with John about the 1" webbing and its less bulky in your pockets. We have the DRG system in our PPE which is which is about 1" webbing also. You probably get a better deal buying in bulk. Stay safe

Sling link makes a pretty good webbing/rescue device called Multiple Application Service Tool (MAST). We are now carrying it in our RIT kits. It is NFPA tested and all the certified stuff. I have had one for a few years and can be used for several different applications. It is a lot thicker than standard webbing if you use the 7500LB version. They have a multi color for fire and military/LE color as well.
