I was torn between what job I really wanted to do....Flip burgers, cook, mop the floor, janitor work, work at a car wash, teacher, demolitionist, nurse, I just couldn't decide, so I found a career where you can do it all. :-D
Had been working EMS fulltime for a number of years, got to know the guys from the two vol. dept.'s that assisted us on calls. I like most of the guys, and got more and more interested in their role in emergency services. I also saw it as a way to expand on how I served my hometown, and liked learning all the new stuff. For me it's about serving the community in two ways instead of one, and I really enjoy it also.
I grew up around it. My dad was a volly for something like 23 yrs. I was helping out at the station when I was 13 and the day I turned 16 the Chief brought an application to the house. The rest is history from there.
