Picture and Video taken by the public during a fire scene or wreck

ok that the one thing that bothers me. as when your trying to work a house fire or a wreck and youve got 100000 people around taking pictures of some ones house burning or someones love one injured. its somethings that a growing problem.

We ran a fatal MVA last week. The ambulance crew AND their supervisor were taking pictures of the body, covered and uncovered. Chief stood there and said nothing to them. The service I work for will terminate you for taking pictures of a patient, dead or alive. I wasn't command, or I would have said something.

If I take pictures on scene I try not to get the body in the shot. I will post action shots, but not victims. We do have permission from the DA if it is a violent scene to doccument it in case the Troopers forget(again) to take pictures of the body. Almost screwed up a DWI manslaughter case because there were no pictures of the bodies.

I personally don't see a problem with people taking pictures of a fire! I have a bigger problem with FF's taking pictures at a scene instead of working
