Pennsylvania Firefighter Hurt Escaping Building Collapse

UNIONTOWN, Pa. - A volunteer firefighter has been treated for a leg injury he suffered while running out of a burning house that collapsed behind him in southwestern Pennsylvania.

The fire was reported in Georges Township about 2:30 a.m. Friday. That's near Uniontown, about 40 miles south of Pittsburgh.

Nobody was inside the home when the fire started. The house was being remodeled and the cause of the blaze is being investigated by a state police fire marshal.

Fire officials say the firefighter was taken to Uniontown Hospital. His name and condition have not been released.
