UNIONTOWN, Pa. - Authorities are blaming arson for a fire that burned an abandoned western Pennsylvania house and injured a firefighter when was hit by falling electrical wires.
Authorities say the fire began early Monday morning in Uniontown, about 35 miles southeast of Pittsburgh.
Fire officials told WPXI-TV the volunteer firefighter was injured when the wires fell on him as he went into the basement of the home. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.
Houses on either side of Monday's fire burned last summer. Both those fires were ruled arson.
