EASTON, Pa. - A Pennsylvania fire investigator is facing perjury charges for allegedly lying under oath about his education.
Northampton County District Attorney John Morganelli says 64-year-old Edward Knight III was arraigned Tuesday on charges stemming from his testimony last year during an arson trial.
Morganelli says a grand jury recommended the charges against Knight after hearing that Millersville University had no record of him earning a degree there.
Knight is charged with perjury and false swearing. He was released on $10,000 unsecured bail following his arraignment.
Knight says he testified to something he "felt to be true and correct."
