PBI Gold and Nomex IIIA/D
Our fire service recently went with two types of gear. Basicly, I would like to get someones opinion on which they would choose and why.
We had a choice between...
PBI Gold outer with GoreTex inner
OR
Nomex IIIA/D outer with GoreTex inner
Which would you have chosen and why? And if you have either what is your opinion?

Unfortunately mate, everybody on here seems to have their favourite manufacturer - I'm not sure that the outer shell fabric comes into it very much. But we can watch them all prove me wrong now :) It's not easy to tell the fabric by looking either - if it's not baby-poo brown or black, then it's Nomex. However if it is baby-poo brown or black, it can still be Nomex!
