PHILADELPHIA - Two patients are hurt after the ambulance they were being transported in collided with a car in Philadelphia.

WPVI-TV reports that police say the driver of the car also suffered minor injuries from Monday morning's crash in the city's Germantown section. All three of the injured are expected to be OK.

Authorities say the crash happened around 7 a.m., but that it's not immediately clear what caused the accident.

I would list the cause of the accident as "stupidity", but that's just me. I was on shift this past Saturday, and while transporting a PT with lights and siren activated, at about 10:30pm, had a car fly up on the left side of the ambulance (in the left turn lane), and bang a right turn IN FRONT of the moving ambulance!!! It's never dull around here. Stay safe!
