FARGO, N.D. (AP) -- The Highway Patrol says a patient being transported by ambulance to a Fargo hospital was killed after the vehicle rolled on an icy stretch of Interstate 94 near Casselton.

Troopers say the driver and a paramedic were hurt in the crash shortly before 3 a.m. on Monday.

Troopers say the 66-year-old man, who has not been identified, was a passenger in an ambulance en route from the Carrington Health Center in Carrington to Fargo's Innovis Hospital.

Troopers say the driver of the ambulance, a 23-year-old woman, lost control of the vehicle and slid into the south ditch, where it overturned and struck an overhead sign.

The driver and 39-year-old male paramedic of the ambulance were taken to Innovis. The patient from the Carrington ambulance was pronounced dead at the hospital.

What Shame I pray for our Brothers and sister whom were hurt and for the patients family.
that really sucks. My prayers go out to the family of the patient and to the ambulance crew that was hurt.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the EMT's and the patients family.
