Hi,

I've a question about pagers system, to call firefighters.

I'm French, living now in Brasil and working for an organisation which goal is open small volunter firestation.

In France we have "pagers/beepers" system, but they are trigged from a central, which take care of about 50 to 100 fire stations. So the pagers/beepers systema is always a BIG one.

In Brasil, we're looking for small system, low cost, in order that each firestation will be able to trig only its' own firefighter (so between 15 and 50 people, max).

I suppose many volunters fire station in USA have such a system? Would it be possible to have your opinions, type do system ( buy or hime made?) and so on?

Thanks very much

Well, thanks for the answer. But such a system seem to rely on the "cellular network". What's happening when you don't have cellular network? Because it say it send message throught "text" or "Email". Meaning you have a computer lnked to the Internet and Cellular network and it dispach message over them. That's it? In that case, it seem to be strange: in France trigging firefighter is done without the cellular network.

Also, Im' in Brasil and here the cellular network is not good enough to rely on it and each fire station must have it's own calking system.

So maybe the question must be: do you have firestation with local dispatch and call system?
