Should I put it in rice...?
I'm hoping letting it dry with it turned OFF will help.

My pager wasn't laying around, my younger cousin grabbed it off my pocket and ran with it, tripped and it fell in a puddle
how deep was the puddle? How long was it in the water?

And no, don't put it in rice. Better with chicken soup.
It was about eh, 5 inches?

It was in for a good 15 seconds at least.

And I let it dry in front of a nice warm heater, and its bone dry

The sound is horrible, its so dang quiet.
The squelch button's sound sounds like S****
Honestly, I can't help ya. I just figured I would ask the questions so maybe someone else could help. Although, it sounds like the speaker is still damp. Keep drying.
Keep drying?

Okay.

Do you think it'll be ok?
go tell who ever you need to and get a new one
sounds like it has potential, but I don't know for sure. All you can do is try.
There are others in here that would have a better idea than me.
good luck.
Hmmm.

It has better sound, but it's still pretty quiet
give it some time. Keep drying.
I'm calling my chief in the morning.

I don't need a new one, if i broke it, it was my dumb fault for not seeing my little cousin grabbing at it.
will do!

Thanks a lot for helping!
