INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis officials say most of a string of 10 overnight fires are believed to be arson, with two people being badly hurt in one of the house fires.
The city Fire Department says five of the blazes were reported before 1 a.m. Tuesday, with five more by about 6 a.m. Most of the fires were clustered to houses just east and south of downtown Indianapolis.
The only injuries reported were from one house fire where WISH-TV reports two residents needed CPR before being taken to hospitals.
Investigators couldn't immediately determine whether the fires were related.
Mayor Greg Ballard tells the station that the string of suspected arsons is disturbing.
